Susan C. Routh - Private Banking and Commercial Real Estate

Sue Routh has 25 years experience in international private banking and commercial real estate advisory work including acquisitions, dispositions, underwriting, asset management and due diligence activity.

During 10 years with HDG Mansur, Sue was responsible for originating real estate investments for the HSBC Global Properties Income Fund and international private clients. She acquired over 2.6 million s.f. of office, industrial and retail property in the amount of $350 million and disposed of selected assets including multifamily in the portfolio.

Prior to joining HDG Mansur, Sue was with Intershop Real Estate Services, a Swiss real estate company with a US headquarters in Dallas. Sue directed the U.S. acquisition and disposition program acquiring over 1.3 million s.f. of net leased properties and community shopping centers. She directed due diligence and underwriting, negotiation of all contracts, legal documentation, and oversight of property reviews. After a takeover of the company in Switzerland, Sue oversaw the divestiture of U.S. assets and had a lead role in the sale of the portfolio to multiple purchasers. The total value of the successful divestiture was over $320 million.

As Vice President of the Real Estate Advisory Service in the Global Private Bank of Bankers Trust Company, Sue was responsible for originating and acquiring suitable real estate investments for international clients. The portfolio ultimately included over 3 million s.f. of office, industrial and retail space valued at over $215 million.

Recently Sue worked at Beal Bank in Dallas as part of the Loan Acquisition Group performing extensive due diligence and analysis of performing and nonperforming commercial mortgage loans and other credit collateral for bidding on pools through the FDIC. Sue also worked as a Senior Professional with MMC Group performing due diligence and loan review for the FDIC Division of Resolutions and Receiverships – Investigations Support Unit.

Sue graduated from Skidmore College, New, York with a BA in American Studies and Geology and has taken many courses from the NYU School of Continuing Education – The Real Estate Institute. Ms. Routh holds a Real Estate Broker’s License in New York and Texas and is currently a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and The Real Estate Council of Dallas.
